Birthplace

The creation of this new blog symbolises a renewed faith and beginning.. the opening of a dream garden to be cultivated. The story goes way back to my recent ten-day theravada retreat where at a particular sitting, i discovered i can’t send metta (pali. loving-kindness) to myself.

There arose an image of a barren land, something like a desert :
 
But the image i saw was grimmer.. grey sky, lifeless without even a glimpse of light, and plants cannot grow.

I can’t describe enough what this image holds for me.. it comprises everything in my psyche that are negative and unwholesome.. it is a sad truth to hold, that you find this whole grey world right within your heart.

i sat, contemplating with sadness, overlooking the pond and hilly landscape from where i sat:

What follows after was what i wrote Barren Land.

So this site is a micosite to the commitment i hold for cultivating this garden of consciousness.. with seeds of love, forgiveness, peace, joy, strength, focus, lightness, ….

my previous blog read entries like vehemence.. torment.. confusion.. anger..  so this is a re-birthing blog.
